I am a graduate in the College of Architecture and Design at Lawrence Technological University where I majored in honors Industrial Design. I am also working on my Graduate in Gemology at The Gemological Institute of America.
I originally began my company designing and creating pinecone pendants. My most popular pieces utilized gemstones and sacred geometry keeping true to my passion for color and patterns. In addition to handcrafting jewelry, I now possess the skills to market my goods and run a small business.
Since then, I now specialize in gem cutting. My favorite stones to work with are sapphire, tourmaline, and spinel. I am more than happy to cut any kind of stone into any kind of shape as well. When I cut a gemstone, I try to follow the shape that the rough gemstone originally came in, in hopes of enhancing its natural beauty, and giving the gemstones a personality of their own.
Do I cut rough that is supplied to me?
Yes! As long as the material is facet grade, I will cut rough that is supplied for an hourly rate. Gemstones take me typically 4-6 hours to cut. I do also require a down payment of at least 30% of the given estimate before I can start cutting.
Do I accept commissions?
Absolutely I do! Prices vary on the size, cut, clarity, and stone that is chosen for the custom piece but I am more than happy to help find something for every budget. I do also require a down payment of at least 30% of the given estimate before I can start cutting.
